COPPA Compliant - Safe for Children

Welcome to 60 Bytes Kids ("the App"), an educational video application designed for children. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you (and if applicable, your parent or legal guardian) agree to these Terms of Use.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you are under 13 years of age, a parent or legal guardian must review and accept these terms on your behalf. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please uninstall the App.

2. Description of Service

60 Bytes Kids provides short-form educational science videos for children. The App offers:

Free Tier: 6 videos per day with full access to the video library, save up to 50 videos
Premium Tier: 60 videos per day, save up to 200 videos, and browse by categories
Max Tier: 250 videos per day, save up to 500 videos, and browse by categories

All video content is age-appropriate, educational, and designed to teach science concepts in an engaging 60-second format.

3. Children's Online Privacy Protection (COPPA) Compliance

60 Bytes Kids is designed with children's safety as our top priority. We comply fully with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information from children or any users to external servers.

3.1 No Data Collection

We do NOT collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or physical addresses
We do NOT collect photos, videos, audio recordings, or geolocation data
We do NOT use cookies, tracking pixels, or any web-based tracking technology
We do NOT collect any device identifiers for tracking purposes

3.2 No Advertising

The App contains NO advertisements of any kind
There are no banner ads, video ads, interstitial ads, or sponsored content
We do NOT use any advertising SDKs or ad networks

3.3 No Third-Party Analytics

We do NOT use Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, or any other third-party analytics service
We do NOT use any third-party SDKs that collect user data
The only third-party service used is Apple's In-App Purchase system for subscription management

3.4 Local Storage Only

All user preferences (playback position, saved videos, daily progress) are stored exclusively on the user's device using the device's local storage. This data is never transmitted to any server and is deleted entirely when the App is uninstalled.

4. Subscription Terms

Premium Monthly: $4.99/month, billed monthly (60 videos/day, 200 saves)
Premium Yearly: $14.99/year, billed annually (60 videos/day, 200 saves)
Max Yearly: $89.99/year, billed annually (250 videos/day, 500 saves)
Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID Account Settings
No refunds for partial subscription periods

5. Parental Controls

We recommend that parents and guardians:

Review the App's content with their children
Use Apple's Screen Time controls to manage usage
Enable Apple's "Ask to Buy" for in-app purchases
Contact us if they have any concerns about the content

6. Content Usage

All content is for personal, non-commercial, educational use only
You may not redistribute, copy, screen-record, or share content from the App
All videos are protected by copyright

7. Intellectual Property

All content in the App, including videos, images, text, and audio, is protected by copyright and owned by or licensed to Aranya Cloud Technologies LLC. The "60 Bytes" name and logo are trademarks of Aranya Cloud Technologies LLC.

8. Limitation of Liability

The App and its content are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the App. The educational content is for informational purposes and should not replace formal education.

9. App Store Terms

Your use of the App is also subject to the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. In the event of a conflict, Apple's terms prevail for matters related to the App Store.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Updated terms will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
